Callum Horncastle

Hey look, it's me!

Husband, son, writer, gamer, filmmaker, actor, and emotional wreck,

I am of course, the star of this (mainly) one-man show.

Contending with autism, PTSD, and crippling depression, my drive in life is to make others happy via entertainment, as it's pretty much the only thing that brings me solace and contentment within myself.

(Yikes, that got a little heavy.)

Having studied media, comedy, and theatre for years (I have the college degrees to prove it), I'd like to think I'm good at what I do, although admittedly, I can be awfully stubborn and headstrong; once I have an idea, I want to see it through, even if it's not feasible.

But on the flipside, I'm righteous, eager to please, and a man of honour, and although I hardly have a high opinion of myself, I will always attest to the fact that I want to do good in this world, and will never hesitate when it comes to helping others.

To quote Pinkamena Diane Pie - "I just want to see you smile."

Dusty

Old Man Dusters, in the flesh.

Before the channel was deleted, this lovable old fart was the heart and soul of the channel, and served as a father figure to me, keeping my mental health afloat, inspiring me to make content, while secretly tampering with the very fabric of space and time.

A wise (and wisecracking) old man, mischievous and loving, with an ever-young spirit, of whom has lived for an untold time; it is said that he witnessed the dinosaurs' very extinction with his own eyes!

Kept immortal by his signature fedora, he could very well outlive us all.

Forever scheming away, nobody ever knows what Dusty has planned next, or how it might affect past, present, and future...

Cool Guy

Considered my 'cousin', Cool Guy is in fact an alternative version of myself, originating from another dimension.

Born in East End London, he grew up on the streets, where he was forced into gang life against his better nature. After losing his family and nearly his life, he fled London, and travelled around the world in search of adventure, forever craving the thrill of danger.

After the events of my short film 'Game Over', Dusty and I found ourselves in Cool Guy's dimension, where he quickly considered us his new family, and merrily came to live with us.

Full of attitude, arrogance, street-slang, and the supposed inability to die, Cool Guy is one character you wouldn't want to meet on the street.

Although to be honest, you're better off not meeting him at all...

CARL-OS

Callum's-Artificial-Robotic-Lifeform [Operating System]

Designed by Dusty in his workshop, CARL-OS (or simply Carl), is an android of near-infinite capability, fuelled by a Whittaker Stone.

His construction and mobility tests were viewable during the cryptic intros of my Let's Play: Dark Souls II series, before he finally made his appearance in The Dusty Chronicles.

Devoid of emotion, yet full of wit, Carl was made to monitor the multiverse itself, in order to protect the Legacy Characters from the ever-looming threat of Pandora.

Pandora

A child of The Whittaker, a twin sibling to Dusty, and the living manifestation of chaos, destruction, and doom.

Pandora was the antagonist across the entirety of Old Man Dusters canon; even projects I failed to finish, were blamed on Pandora, of whom would travel from dimension to dimension, murdering Callums by the thousands, in search of Dusty and the Whittaker Stones.

A shape-shifting being of immense power, Pandora has gone by many names and faces, and can shift gender at will, allowing them to infiltrate and seduce every Callum they've encountered, before inevitably murdering him.

Envious of Dusty's immortality, Pandora seeks the Life Stone within his fedora, along with the Energy Stone, of which dwells within CARL-OS.

Deep down, Pandora is simply a child unloved, rife with vengeance and bitterness. Perhaps, if shown love, forgiveness, and compassion, there could be a chance for redemption...

Phoenix Horncastle

PhoenixIntro.png

My dearest friend, kindest companion, and most trusted advisor.

Oh, and he's also my husband.

Phoenix once hailed from across the pond, in the make-believe world of 'civilised America', South Carolina to be exact. We met online in a support group for those struggling with mental disabilities, where we immediately hit it off and became close friends.

He went travelling to Europe, and upon reaching England, I decided to join him on a merry gallivant across my country, where we fell deeply in love. We secretly eloped that very same year, before making our relationship public shortly after.

We've now been married for over six years, and for all the bumps and wobbles in our journey, I look forward to adding a zero onto that six.

Yuck, that felt icky to write...

He calls me Buggy, and I call him Pickles.

No, I will not be giving context.
